Serving Size: 1 ramekin

Yield:

Ingredients:

  • butter or cooking spray
  • 24 slices prosciutto or deli ham (thinly sliced)
  • 3 Tbsp TABASCO® brand Garlic Pepper Sauce
  • 6 c French or Italian bread pieces (1-inch pieces)
  • 6 Tbsp melted butter
  • 1 1/2 c crumbled goat cheese
  • 3/4 c chopped fresh herbs (optional)
  • 24 Davidson's Safest Choice® pasteurized shell egg(s)
  • salt to taste
  • coarse ground black pepper to taste
  • 3 Tbsp finely minced bell pepper (optional)

  • 48 slices prosciutto or deli ham (thinly sliced)
  • 6 Tbsp TABASCO® brand Garlic Pepper Sauce
  • 3 qt French or Italian bread pieces (1-inch pieces)
  • 3/4 c melted butter
  • 3 c crumbled goat cheese
  • 1 1/2 c chopped fresh herbs (optional)
  • 48 Davidson's Safest Choice® pasteurized shell egg(s)
  • salt to taste
  • coarse ground black pepper to taste
  • 6 Tbsp finely minced bell pepper (optional)

  • 96 slices prosciutto or deli ham (thinly sliced)
  • 3/4 c TABASCO® brand Garlic Pepper Sauce
  • 6 qt French or Italian bread pieces (1-inch pieces)
  • 1 1/2 c melted butter
  • 6 c crumbled goat cheese
  • 3 c chopped fresh herbs (optional)
  • 96 Davidson's Safest Choice® pasteurized shell egg(s)
  • salt to taste
  • coarse ground black pepper to taste
  • 3/4 c finely minced bell pepper (optional)

Ingredients:

  • butter or cooking spray
  • 144 slices prosciutto or deli ham (thinly sliced)
  • 1 1/8 c TABASCO® brand Garlic Pepper Sauce
  • 9 qt French or Italian bread pieces (1-inch pieces)
  • 2 1/4 c melted butter
  • 9 c crumbled goat cheese
  • 4 1/2 c chopped fresh herbs (optional)
  • 144 Davidson's Safest Choice® pasteurized shell egg(s)
  • salt to taste
  • coarse ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 1/8 c finely minced bell pepper (optional)

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Butter bottom and sides of ramekins, or spray with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Brush or dab each side of the prosciutto or ham lightly with the TABASCO® Garlic Pepper Sauce.
  3. Line each ramekin with 2 slices prosciutto or ham with some extending over sides.
  4. In large bowl, toss bread pieces and melted butter together. Stir in cheese and herbs. Divide mixture evenly among ramekins, pressing down lightly. If additional spiciness is desired, add some or all of the remaining TABASCO® Garlic Pepper Sauce.
  5. Break 2 eggs into each ramekin. Add salt and pepper, as desired. Sprinkle bell pepper around eggs, if desired.
  6. Place ramekins on rimmed baking sheet. Bake in 400°F oven 25 to 30 minutes, until whites are set and yolks begin to firm, or to desired doneness.
  7. Garnish with additional herbs, if desired.

Notes

To reduce sodium, use low-sodium ham

Variations

  • Other cheese such as cubed mozzarella, cheddar, etc. may be substituted for the goat cheese.
  • Herbs such as basil, rosemary, thyme, chives and/or parsley may be used. Use one or a combination.
